Senior Accountant – Remote

Senior Accountant Benefits & Compensation
- Base salary: $80,000–$100,000

Senior Accountant Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in real estate, lending, or debt fund accounting
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage amortization schedules and loan-level accounting
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency across the Microsoft 365 suite
- Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff
- Ability to thrive in a highly accountable, remote setting
Senior Accountant Preferred Background & Skills
- Real estate accounting, debt fund, or private credit experience
- Loan accounting expertise
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
- Experience with investor reporting, distribution calculations, or fund accounting
- Participation in process automation or system implementation initiatives
Senior Accountant Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Own the full month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Oversee general ledger, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Mentor and review the work of an AP-focused Accountant, ensuring correct GL coding, vendor payments, and invoice processing
- Maintain and reconcile detailed loan accounting, including amortization schedules and monthly accruals
- Oversee monthly investor distribution calculations and coordinate investor tax document preparation
- Serve as a power user of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations for accounting functions
- Partner with the VP of Finance to improve processes and internal controls, and collaborate across departments
