We are seeking a hands-on, entrepreneurial Bakery & Dessert Operations Manager to help launch and lead an exciting new dessert concept created by a highly successful hospitality entrepreneur. Bakery & Dessert Operations Manager Requirements & Qualifications – this is what Hunter will prioritize screening for
- 3+ years of management experience within bakery, dessert, pastry, or specialty food concepts
- New store opening experience is REQUIRED
- Strong culinary foundation with baking or pastry experience highly preferred
- Proven experience managing labor, food cost, inventory, ordering, scheduling, and P&L accountability
Must Haves
- Ability to create and implement operational systems, recipes, prep procedures, and quality standards from scratch
- Comfortable leading both front- and back-of-house operations in a fast-paced opening environment
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to jump into production, prep, or service as needed
- Experience building schedules, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining consistency across daily execution
Bakery & Dessert Operations Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience working with upscale dessert, bakery, café, or experiential food brands
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Passion for hospitality, guest experience, and creating memorable products
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train, mentor, and develop hourly teams
