Core Service Offerings
- Business valuations for financial reporting and tax purposes
- Valuation of complex financial instruments, including debt and equity securities and contingent consideration
- Stock-based compensation and equity award valuations
- Valuation of intangible assets for financial reporting and tax compliance
- Transaction advisory services supporting domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions
- Valuation and financial analysis for tax compliance, planning, and controversy matters
- Litigation support, dispute resolution, and expert witness services
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, manage, and oversee valuation engagements, including business valuation analyses, complex financial instrument valuations, industry research, and related investigative services
- Identify, assess, and manage firm risk across engagements and proposals, ensuring compliance with professional standards and firm policies
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior professionals in valuation methodologies, financial modeling, and valuation of complex financial instruments
- Evaluate staff performance through engagement feedback and formal year-end review processes
- Collaborate closely with audit teams, regulators, and external stakeholders to support financial reporting and regulatory requirements
- Partner with firm leadership and engagement teams on client relationship management, practice growth initiatives, and business development efforts
- Participate in client presentations, internal training sessions, and external seminars to support thought leadership and market visibility
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Valuation credential with an ABV or CVA
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience delivering valuation services within public accounting and/or consulting environments
- Extensive experience valuing businesses, business interests, and intangible assets for financial reporting and tax purposes, including ASC 350, ASC 360, ASC 718, and ASC 815
- Expertise in valuation of complex capital structures, complex securities, and embedded derivatives
- Proven experience supporting estate and gift tax planning, charitable contributions, and tax-related valuations
- Advanced financial modeling capabilities, including development, validation, and review of complex valuation models
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills applied to complex valuation and accounting matters
