Underwriter, Binding — Specialty MGA Remote (Quarterly Travel Required) | ~$75,000 base + bonus
We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing MGA and specialty wholesale broker building out their Binding Authority Division. This is a high-volume, growth-focused underwriting role with real career advancement opportunity at a company that invests in its people.
The Role
- Evaluate, quote, and bind new and renewal commercial business within delegated authority
- Manage a high-volume submission pipeline across property, GL, excess, and inland marine
- Average account size around $15K, property up to $5M TIV
- Exercise independent underwriting judgment on risk selection, pricing, and coverage structure
- Build and maintain broker and agency relationships to drive consistent submission flow
What You Bring
- 2 to 3 years of underwriting or commercial insurance experience
- Hands-on experience with property, GL, and/or excess/umbrella lines
- Comfortable working within binding authority
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage a fast-paced pipeline
- Bachelor's degree required
