Maintenance Technician Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience in a commercial or restaurant setting required
- Refrigeration, HVAC, and EPA Certification required
- Valid driver’s license for service call responsibilities
- Able to learn new skills and adapt quickly
- Proactive approach with a strong sense of initiative and teamwork
- Strong communication abilities
Maintenance Technician Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with restaurant equipment, fryers, ice machines, and shake machines
- Plumbing and mechanical aptitude
- Comfortable operating tools and handling minor facility repairs (tile, painting, light electrical, plumbing)
- Familiarity with designing and installing HVAC systems
- Proficiency in equipment repair related to commercial kitchens
Maintenance Technician Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various restaurant equipment and facility systems
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, and cooking equipment
- Diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and replace defective parts as needed
- Complete service calls promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations
- Support general managers and restaurant teams with ongoing maintenance needs
