A growing electrical equipment manufacturing platform is seeking a Chief Technical Officer to lead technical strategy and engineering excellence across multiple locations. This is a foundational leadership opportunity in a company scaling a multi-shop operation focused on UL-certified products for high-demand customers. Chief Technical Officer Benefits & Compensation

Chief Technical Officer Requirements & Qualifications
- Active or recently active electrical contracting or engineering credentials (e.g., state Master Electrician, PE license, or equivalent)
- UL 508A Manufacturer Technical Representative (MTR) qualification or willingness to obtain within 30–60 days
- Substantial experience with UL 508A control panel design or UL 891 switchboard manufacturing
- Proven ownership of a UL Quality Manual or equivalent quality system
- Background in PLC programming, drive configuration, and control system design
- Advanced proficiency in Eplan or similar CAD, able to develop template libraries
- Minimum 10 years of progressive technical leadership experience in electrical equipment manufacturing, contracting, or automation
- Demonstrated ability to build technical teams, develop standards, and establish systematic processes
- Strong leadership skills: collaborative, quality-focused, and comfortable working in co-equal peer structures
Chief Technical Officer Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in data center or critical infrastructure markets
- Familiarity with Rittal automation systems and Eplan integrated workflow
- Prior field engineering or multi-site technical leadership roles
- Direct work with NRTL field evaluation processes
Chief Technical Officer Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Serve as final technical authority on all product design and engineering decisions
- Develop and maintain Eplan templates, BOM standardization, and approved component lists
- Own all technical aspects of UL certification and compliance across shops
- Lead technical training, onboarding, and development for senior technicians, engineers, and quality staff
- Coordinate closely with operations and business development leaders to align on solutions, staffing, and technical engagement with customers
- Oversee multi-shop technical consistency, ensuring high standards and quality across every location
- Lead post-incident reviews, root-cause analysis, and corrective action for quality or audit findings
