Sports Complex General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in facility management or sports operations
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Proven scheduling and organizational skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Knowledge of safety standards and building maintenance

Sports Complex General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day facility operations, ensuring efficient scheduling and smooth logistics for practices and events
- Supervise, hire, and train staff across maintenance, concessions, and guest services
- Ensure grounds, equipment, and common areas are maintained to the highest safety and cleanliness standards
- Manage budgets, operational expenses, and revenue opportunities, including rentals and sponsorships
- Plan and execute leagues, tournaments, and special events in partnership with community organizations
- Develop and implement safety, security, and emergency response procedures
- Promote the facility through marketing and relationship-building with local leagues and potential partners
