Project Manager – Heavy Civil / Geotechnical

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in heavy civil or geotechnical construction. This role is responsible for leading projects from planning through closeout, ensuring they meet safety, quality, schedule, and budget expectations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is comfortable managing multiple field operations simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple construction projects from kickoff through completion
- Develop, maintain, and track project schedules and budgets
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal field teams
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, inspectors, and public agencies (TxDOT experience strongly preferred)
- Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, reports, and change orders
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of experience in heavy civil or geotechnical construction
- Proven experience managing infrastructure projects; DOT experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of construction methods, contracts, and project controls
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Ability to travel to project sites across Texas and Louisiana
Travel Requirements
This position requires regular travel to project sites throughout Texas and Louisiana. A company vehicle or travel allowance will be provided.
