Sales Engineer – SCADA / Controls (Wastewater Focus) – Nashville, TN

Sales Engineer Benefits & Compensation
- Base salary of $90,000–$110,000

Sales Engineer Requirements & Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of technical sales or sales engineering experience in industrial automation or controls
- Background selling into wastewater, utilities, or industrial environments
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and PLCs/controls systems
- Proven success generating and closing new business in target markets
- Existing client relationships within wastewater, utilities, or industrial sectors strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to independently manage a regional territory and sales pipeline
Sales Engineer Preferred Background & Skills
- Controls engineering or systems integration experience
- Experience with project-based or solution-based technical sales
- Established network or past client base within target industries
Sales Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop and expand business within the wastewater, utility, and industrial markets
- Proactively generate sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and referrals
- Build strong relationships with engineers, plant managers, operations leaders, and key decision-makers
- Manage the entire sales process from lead qualification through project close
- Collaborate with technical teams to design and deliver solutions aligned with customer needs
- Maintain accurate sales forecasting and pipeline reports
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings
This role is ideal for candidates passionate about technical solution sales with a proven background in controls, SCADA, and industrial environments. Candidates without relevant experience in these sectors will not be considered.
