We are seeking an experienced and driven Supply Chain Operations Manager to
lead our international freight forwarding operations. In this pivotal role, you
will oversee the full lifecycle of air and ocean shipments — from booking and
documentation through customs clearance, delivery, and invoicing — while guiding
a dedicated team of logistics operators.
You will serve as the operational anchor for our import/export division: managing
carrier and customer relationships, ensuring strict compliance with U.S. customs
and international shipping regulations, and continuously improving workflows for
efficiency and profitability. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires
equal parts strategic thinking and on-the-ground problem solving in a dynamic,
fast-paced environment.
Key focus areas: daily operations supervision · team training & performance ·
escalation & exception handling · compliance & documentation
SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS MANAGER REQUIREMENTS
• 5+ years of hands-on international freight forwarding experience covering both
air and ocean import/export operations.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or lead role managing a team of logistics
operators.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs clearance procedures, export
documentation (EEI, B/L, AWB), and compliance regulations (CBP, ITAR, EAR).
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and hold team
members accountable to SOPs and performance standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience managing carrier,
customer, and vendor relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as an escalation point for operational issues,
customer complaints, and carrier disputes.
• Proficiency with a Transportation Management System (TMS); experience with
CargoWise strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to perform under
pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
• Experience coordinating with domestic trucking providers and warehouse partners
to ensure timely pick-up and delivery.
• Ability to review files, reports, and billing across air and ocean shipments
for accuracy and timeliness.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus.
