Chef de Cuisine | Coastal Californian Cuisine | Upscale-Casual Restaurant Group
We are seeking an experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead the kitchen of a relaxed yet refined restaurant concept within a highly respected hospitality group known for Michelin-starred dining. This is an opportunity to run a hands-on kitchen that values seasonality, simplicity, and execution.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all day-to-day kitchen operations, including prep, service, and sanitation
- Execute and uphold menu standards with consistency and care
- Train, mentor, and develop Sous Chefs and line cooks
- Collaborate with culinary leadership on menu updates and seasonal features
- Manage food cost, labor, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable kitchen culture
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience
- Previous Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef
- Experience with seafood-driven, seasonal, or Californian cuisine
- Ability to lead high-volume service while maintaining quality
- Strong organizational, communication, and coaching skills
- Passion for food, hospitality, and team development
