About the Opportunity
A well-established law practice in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join its team.
This position is based in a collaborative office .

Responsibilities:
• Review, organize, and provide notes on client documents in an efficient manner
• Correspond with clients regarding information and documentation needed to prepare an estate plan
• Input new client matter information and prepare engagement letters if necessary
• Draft and proofread estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced directives for health care
• Format documents for correct style formatting, grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Manage workflow of cases and prioritize multiple projects to manage progress on each case and meet applicable deadlines
• Explain solutions and documents to clients
• Have a current Georgia Notary Commission or be willing to apply for one
• Serve as a witness for multiple documents daily
• Complete projects or tasks as requested by attorney within the time frame allotted
• Provide general administrative assistance, such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, sending correspondence, and copying documents
• Support other staff members as needed to ensure all clients receive an excellent client experience
• Prepare documents and packages for mail, email, and overnight delivery; ensure that all attachments, exhibits and enclosures are intact
• Communicate effectively with other paralegals, clients, third parties (e.g. accountants, investment advisors, and insurance brokers), attorneys and other support staff
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Two years of experience as an estate planning paralegal
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Working knowledge of practice management software & drafting software
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Capacity to learn and understand new concepts and apply them correctly
• Ability to show empathy to clients and put them at ease
• Customer service experience
• Energetic, organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined with the willingness to work hard
