Senior Trial Attorney Benefits & Compensation
- Base salary of $150,000–$175,000+ plus performance-based bonuses

Senior Trial Attorney Requirements & Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active New York Bar admission
- 6+ years of litigation experience
- Significant insurance defense experience required
- Trial experience (first-chair or substantial second-chair) strongly preferred
- Experience with labor law, construction accident, or personal injury matters preferred
- Proven ability to independently manage a full litigation caseload
- Strong deposition, courtroom, and motion practice skills
- Excellent writing, communication, and strategic case management abilities
Senior Trial Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Independently manage complex litigation matters from inception through verdict or resolution
- Serve as first-chair or strong second-chair in trial matters, handling high-exposure and catastrophic injury cases
- Conduct and defend a variety of depositions (fact, expert, corporate, plaintiff)
- Attend court appearances, hearings, oral arguments, conferences, mediations, and arbitrations
- Draft and argue dispositive motions, including summary judgment motions
- Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure for settlement purposes
- Communicate directly with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel
- Mentor and support junior associates
- Maintain accurate billing and carrier reporting
