VP of Sales HVAC Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, or building technologies
- Demonstrated success in technical sales leadership roles within HVAC manufacturing, distribution, or manufacturer’s representative organizations
- Strong professional relationships with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, and other relevant stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow sales teams
- Deep understanding of HVAC systems, applied equipment, and specification-driven sales
- Knowledge of construction project lifecycle processes

VP of Sales HVAC Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the overall sales strategy to achieve revenue growth and expand market share
- Lead, coach, and retain outside sales, sales engineering, and business development staff
- Establish and monitor sales targets, territory plans, and performance metrics
- Build relationships with consulting engineers, design firms, mechanical contractors, and key customers to drive project pipeline growth
- Foster alignment with equipment manufacturing partners and ensure strong product knowledge across the team
- Oversee forecasting, pipeline management, and collaboration across estimating, engineering, and project management functions
- Recruit, train, and develop high-performing sales professionals, building a collaborative, customer-focused culture
