A rapidly growing, plaintiff-side personal injury practice is seeking a Junior Pre-Litigation Attorney to join its high-performing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney who wants hands-on ownership of cases, direct client interaction, and meaningful involvement in strategy and settlement negotiations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through settlement or escalation to litigation
- Evaluate liability, damages, medical treatment, and insurance coverage to guide case strategy
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates, guidance, and managing expectations throughout the case lifecycle
- Review and approve demand packages and supporting documentation
- Negotiate bodily injury claims directly with insurance adjusters to drive favorable outcomes
- Monitor case progression, identify stalled files, and implement action plans to move cases forward
- Collaborate with case managers, legal assistants, and internal teams to ensure efficient file handling
- Conduct routine file audits and escalate cases requiring litigation review when appropriate
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and contribute to a high-performance, client-focused environment
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing
- 1 to 3 years of personal injury experience, plaintiff-side strongly preferred
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage insurance adjuster interactions
- Excellent client communication skills with a professional and empathetic approach
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Sound legal judgment with the ability to evaluate case value and strategy
- Experience with case management systems such as Litify, Filevine, or similar is a plus
