Legal Secretary Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of personal injury legal support experience required
- Direct experience filing through New Jersey Courts Online and e Courts systems required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Legal Secretary Preferred Background & Skills
- Previous experience supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation
Legal Secretary Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Prepare pleadings, legal memoranda, discovery, and motions to support ongoing cases
- Handle pretrial preparation, trial support, and assist in case management tasks
- File documents and manage case submissions using New Jersey Courts Online and e Courts systems
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, and court staff regarding case status and documentation
- Maintain accurate files, deadlines, and case documentation for litigation matters
- Support attorneys across the entire litigation lifecycle with professionalism and attention to detail
