Vice President of Accounting – Greenville, SC

Vice President of Accounting Benefits & Compensation
- Competitive base salary of $200-250k plus bonus potential

Vice President of Accounting Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferrred; Master’s preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
- Background in banking or financial services required
- Public accounting experience (Big Four or similar) highly valued
- Proven ability to lead and build high-performing teams
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS exposure a plus
- Experience with accounting systems, ERP platforms, and process automation
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a background check
- Onsite presence in Greenville, SC required; minimal travel (~5%)
Vice President of Accounting Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities, including influencing senior leadership
Vice President of Accounting Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a talented accounting team, promoting continuous improvement
- Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP (and IFRS where applicable)
- Oversee key functions: revenue recognition, loan portfolio accounting, leases, tax provisions, accounts payable, and cash management
- Drive process optimization, system enhancements, and reporting efficiency initiatives
- Partner with the CFO and executive team on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments and international teams to align and optimize financial operations
