Pediatrician (MD/DO) | Chicago, IL
Overview
A well-established, mission-driven community health organization in Chicago is seeking a Pediatrician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children and families. This role is designed for a full-time provider, though part-time candidates may also be considered.
Position Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an FQHC Look-Alike setting through in-person visits and telehealth
- Conduct well-child visits, immunizations, developmental screenings, and acute care visits
- Diagnose and manage pediatric illnesses, chronic conditions, and behavioral health concerns
- Participate in a shared 24-hour call rotation with other providers
- Review lab results, referrals, and emergency room discharges, ensuring appropriate follow-up
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, behavioral health, dental, and specialty providers
- Support education of patients, residents, medical students, and staff as appropriate
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a continuous improvement mindset
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic health records (EHR)
- Engage in community outreach activities as needed
- Ensure compliance with FQHC regulatory requirements and applicable funding/grant guidelines
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- Current NPI and DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (PALS preferred)
- Experience or strong interest in community health and underserved populations
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (eCW experience preferred)
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team (medical, dental, behavioral health, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $160,000 – $215,000 based on experience
