Director of Plant Operations – Atlanta, GA

Director of Plant Operations Benefits & Compensation
- Competitive base salary ($145,000–$160,000) plus targeted annual bonus (17.5% of base, typically $25,000–$35,000)
- Total on-target earnings ($175,000–$185,000)

Director of Plant Operations Requirements & Qualifications
- 10+ years operations management experience in electrical equipment manufacturing, panel shops, or related industrial environments
- Hands-on expertise with UL 508A or UL 891 panel certification processes
- Demonstrated success in scaling operations beyond managing mature facilities
- Proven leadership of production teams (panel assemblers, technicians, supervisors)
- Practical knowledge of panel shop equipment (including Rittal Wire Terminal, Eplan, hi-pot testing)
- Based in Atlanta or willing to relocate to the Atlanta metro area
Director of Plant Operations Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in multi-site panel shop or switchgear manufacturing environments
- UL 508A MTR (Manufacturer Technical Representative) certification
- Familiarity with founder-led company culture
- Background supporting data center or critical infrastructure clients
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field
Director of Plant Operations Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of manufacturing operations across four shops as part of a seven-year growth plan
- Oversee UL 508A authorization and manage the UL 891 listing process
- Develop and maintain the Quality Manual for UL inspector approval
- Build and lead the Shop 1 production team, including hiring, onboarding, and training
- Drive strategic vendor onboarding and partnership initiatives (including Rittal, Eplan, Graybar, Eaton, Schneider)
- Collaborate closely with peers in technical operations and business development to ensure delivery excellence
- Create scalable operational systems and best practices to expand into additional shops
