We are seeking a hands-on Controller to lead finance and accounting for a growing multi-unit hospitality group operating restaurant concepts in the Dallas area.
This role oversees day-to-day accounting operations while providing financial insight to support operational and strategic decisions. The ideal candidate brings experience from multi-unit upscale casual to fine dining restaurant environments and is comfortable partnering closely with ownership and operations leadership in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
This is an opportunity for a finance leader who enjoys building structure, improving systems, and helping support the growth of an evolving hospitality platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations
- Prepare and manage financial statements, reporting, and reconciliations
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Establish accounting processes, controls, and reporting standards
- Manage and optimize financial systems, including Restaurant365 (R365)
- Collaborate with operations leadership on labor, food cost, and profitability metrics
- Support vendor relationships, purchasing processes, and cost controls
- Help build scalable accounting infrastructure to support future growth
- Manage and develop accounting support staff as the department grows
What We're Looking For
- Strong accounting foundation with experience managing financial statements and reporting
- Multi-unit restaurant finance experience required
- Background within upscale casual, upscale dining, or fine dining restaurant environments strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with Restaurant365 (R365), including implementation, optimization, reporting, or administration
- Ability to translate financial data into clear operational insights for leadership teams
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment where structure and processes are still evolving
- Collaborative leadership style with strong communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with both ownership and operations leadership
Preferred Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Experience supporting multi-unit restaurant operations
- CPA or advanced finance credentials are a plus
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule (four days in office, one remote)
- Office located in the Dallas area
- Local candidates only; relocation is not available
