Restaurant General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and people skills
- Solid understanding of food safety, labor management, and cost controls
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and game days
Restaurant General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the management team and hourly staff, fostering a positive, team-oriented work culture
- Drive all aspects of daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and consistent service
- Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and overall guest experience
- Monitor financial performance, manage labor and food costs, and execute action plans for improvement
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and build relationships in the local community
- Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and ongoing team development
