Attorney – Senior Associate or Counsel – Labor & Employment Requirements & Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York Bar, or eligibility for prompt admission
- Minimum 3–5 years of labor and employment law experience
- Demonstrated ability in handling investigations and litigation
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and exercise sound judgment
- Commitment to client service and the highest ethical standards
Attorney – Senior Associate or Counsel – Labor & Employment Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Conduct internal corporate and government investigations for employer clients
- Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and agency charges
- Advise, counsel, and train employers on employment and labor law issues, including FMLA, ADA, and NYS Civil Service Law
- Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, and in mediations or arbitrations
- Assist in collective bargaining negotiations with labor unions
- Defend against wage and hour, collective, and class action matters, as well as NLRB and PERB filings
