Senior Civil Engineer Requirements & Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering (required)
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) License (required)
- 10–12+ years of civil design experience, with a focus on industrial construction projects (land development, building pads, site infrastructure)
- 6+ years of experience in drainage, grading, and utility design
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Word, and MS Excel
- Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
Senior Civil Engineer Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience managing projects for the Department of Defense (DoD)
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for problem-solving
- Previous mentoring or leadership experience within engineering teams
Senior Civil Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple civil engineering projects in alignment with U.S. military design standards
- Develop site plans, grading designs, and detailed drainage solutions
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure quality standards are met
- Resolve complex design and construction challenges efficiently
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, supporting strategy and project delivery goals
- Mentor and guide junior staff, promoting best practices within the department
