Executive Director / Administrator – Ambulatory Surgery Center Leadership Role

An established, high-performing ambulatory surgery center is seeking an Executive Director / Administrator to provide overall operational leadership, financial stewardship, regulatory oversight, and strategic direction for the facility. This is a visible role with strong influence across clinical, administrative, and governance functions.
What You’ll Do
As Executive Director, you will lead the day-to-day and long-term success of the surgery center by:
Strategic & Executive Leadership
- Partnering with the Board of Managers to guide mission, vision, and strategic direction
- Developing short- and long-range operational and financial plans
- Advising leadership on healthcare trends, regulatory developments, and policy strategy
- Supporting marketing and community engagement initiatives
Operations Management
- Overseeing all surgery center operations and performance
- Ensuring alignment of staffing, workflows, and service delivery with organizational goals
- Leading management team selection, onboarding, and development
- Maintaining strong communication across clinical and administrative teams
Financial Oversight
- Coordinating budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring
- Supporting sustainable growth and resource optimization
- Ensuring responsible allocation of human, physical, and financial assets
Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies
- Monitoring operational programs and facility readiness
- Maintaining policies, procedures, and performance standards
External Representation
- Serving as liaison with physicians, payers, regulators, and healthcare partners
- Representing the center in community and professional relationships
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience
- 3–5+ years of executive or senior healthcare leadership experience
- At least 1 year of experience managing operations within a healthcare organization
- Demonstrated success overseeing multidisciplinary teams and complex workflows
Preferred Education
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
