An established litigation practice in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with 5–8 years of labor and employment defense experience to join its trial-focused team. This role offers significant case responsibility, client interaction, and opportunities to handle high-exposure employment disputes from inception through resolution.
Senior Associate Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 10–20 employment litigation matters independently
- Develop case strategies and assess complaints filed in state and federal court
- Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and other substantive filings
- Conduct and defend depositions, including party and witness examinations
- Prepare cases for mediation and trial, including pre-trial filings
- Provide regular case updates and strategic guidance to clients
Senior Associate Requirements:
- 5–8 years of labor and employment defense litigation experience
- Active admission to the California Bar
- Extensive experience with discovery, motion practice, and depositions
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Confident oral advocacy and courtroom presence
- Ability to manage multiple matters and prioritize effectively
