Director of Sales | Remote | Branded Merchandise & Apparel Decoration Industry
About the Opportunity
Goodwin Recruiting is partnering with our client, a growing leader in the apparel decoration and branded merchandise space, to find an experienced Director of Sales to lead and scale their new business engine. This is a senior leadership role for a proven sales builder — someone who thrives on building high-performance hunter teams, creating repeatable systems, and driving predictable revenue growth.
This role is fully remote from anywhere within the U.S.

What You'll Own
- Net-new revenue targets through disciplined pipeline generation and conversion
- Market expansion strategies across priority verticals, geographies, and customer segments
- Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and target account strategies
- A team of hunter-focused sales executives — coaching, developing, and holding them accountable
- Full pipeline health: coverage ratios, velocity, aging, and conversion
- Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of high-caliber sales talent
- CRM accuracy, forecasting discipline, and KPI performance across the team
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of inside and outside sales executives
- Design and enforce standard work for prospecting, pipeline management, discovery, and closing
- Conduct regular ride-alongs, call reviews, pipeline inspections, and deal strategy sessions
- Track and manage KPIs including pipeline creation, win rates, deal size, and sales cycle length
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Production, and Customer Experience teams
- Build a culture of accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement
- Represent the voice of the customer in leadership discussions
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of sales experience, with 5+ years in a sales leadership role
- Proven track record building and leading hunter sales teams
- Experience in apparel, apparel decoration, or branded merchandise strongly preferred (embroidery, patches, heat transfer, embellishments, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to build repeatable sales systems and standards
- Strong command of pipeline management, forecasting, KPI-driven coaching, and CRM systems
- History of hitting and exceeding new business revenue targets
- Willingness to travel approximately 40%
- Strong executive presence with both customers and internal stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

- 📍 Fully Remote — U.S.-based candidates only
- ️ Travel: approximately 40%
- 💼 Full-time, direct hire
