Sous Chef – Upscale, Chef-Driven Concept

We are seeking a passionate and driven Sous Chef to join a dynamic, high-volume kitchen. This role partners directly with the Executive Chef to lead daily operations, elevate food quality, and deliver an exceptional guest experience. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in simple, authentic, high-quality food done right, this is a great opportunity to grow with a strong culinary team.

What You’ll Do

Support the Executive Chef in menu execution and daily kitchen operations

Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and accountability

Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and execution

Oversee food safety, sanitation, and hygiene across all stages of prep and service

Run and organize the expo line with precision and urgency

Step in and lead during high-volume service with confidence and composure

Train, coach, and develop team members

What We’re Looking For

Passion for food, wine, and hospitality

Strong leadership presence with the ability to teach and mentor

Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Appreciation for quality ingredients and relationships with purveyors

Basic computer skills for menu updates and systems

Requirements

1–3 years of high-volume kitchen experience

Culinary degree preferred but not required with strong experience

Working Environment

Fast-paced, high-energy kitchen

Requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 45 lbs

Exposure to hot, cold, and heavy kitchen equipment

Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
