Senior Civil Structural PE – Commercial, Mixed-Use & Municipal Projects | Private & Public Sectors
Position Summary
The Senior Structural PE serves as a technical leader and subject-matter expert, responsible for planning, analysis, and design of complex structural systems for commercial, mixed-use, and municipal projects. This role leads and mentors a team of engineers, ensures technical excellence, and supports project delivery from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural design for buildings and infrastructure projects, including commercial, mixed-use, and municipal facilities
- Act as subject matter expert on structural systems, codes, constructability, and risk mitigation
- Manage and mentor a team of structural engineers and designers; provide technical review and QA/QC
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, MEP teams, contractors, and municipal authorities
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables
- Perform and review advanced structural analyses and calculations
- Support business development, proposals, and client presentations as needed
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and regulations
Required Expertise
- Extensive experience in steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and foundation systems
- Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and local municipal codes
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing engineering teams
- Public and private sector projects

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE preferred
- 10+ years of progressive structural engineering experience
- Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
Base salary in the $140K-$200K range
