Director of Bakery Operations Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong professional baking background, ideally as a pastry chef or senior bakery professional
- Deep understanding of baking science, dough fermentation, and production troubleshooting
- Proven leadership experience in bakery, pastry, or food production operations
- Background in independent or owner-operated businesses preferred
- Experience with financial management including COGS, labor control, and purchasing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling platforms, and digital communication tools
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
Director of Bakery Operations Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience developing and launching new bakery products
- Skilled in menu optimization and product mix analysis
- Familiarity with clean-label or additive-free ingredient sourcing
