We are seeking an Insurance Litigation Special Counsel with 7+ years of complex litigation experience to join a nationally recognized corporate practice in New York, NY or Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have experience handling insurance and reinsurance disputes, arbitration proceedings, and developing pretrial and trial strategy.

Insurance Litigation Special Counsel Responsibilities
- Draft complex legal submissions and briefs
- Prepare witnesses and support trial strategy
- Manage expert discovery processes
- Participate in arbitration and trial proceedings
- Collaborate with cross-functional legal teams on litigation strategy
- Support client development initiatives, including publications and speaking engagements
Insurance Litigation Special Counsel Requirements
- JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission or eligibility for admission in New York or Washington, DC
- 7+ years of complex litigation experience
- Experience or strong interest in insurance/reinsurance disputes and arbitration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively in team environments
Insurance Litigation Special Counsel Benefits
- Bonus eligible (top-of-market compensation)
- Salary range: $275,000–$305,000
