We are seeking a Health Law Practice Group PBM Associate or Special Counsel (Off-Track) with 3+ years of commercial contracting experience in managed care or the pharmaceutical supply chain to join a nationally recognized corporate practice in Boston, New York, or Washington, DC. Health Law Practice Group PBM Associate or Special Counsel Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate PBM contracts including rebate agreements, pharmacy network agreements, and vendor contracts
- Manage the full lifecycle of PBM procurement and contracting processes for health plans
- Advise clients on health plan operations, regulatory compliance, and transactional considerations
- Support commercial contracting across managed care and pharmaceutical supply chain matters
- Collaborate with partners, clients, and cross-functional teams to execute complex agreements
- Handle contract administration issues and disputes involving PBMs, payors, and third-party vendors
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including co-counsel and opposing counsel
- Travel occasionally for in-person client meetings and contract negotiations
Health Law Practice Group PBM Associate or Special Counsel Requirements
- JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted or eligible for admission in Massachusetts, New York, or Washington, DC
- Minimum of 3 years of transactional experience in managed care or pharmaceutical supply chain
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, particularly PBM-related contracts
- Familiarity with federal and state healthcare regulatory frameworks
- Strong organizational, communication, and client management skills
- Ability to manage multiple workflows and work with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing deadlines
