The Project Coordinator functions as the administrative support to the project team, assisting the Project Engineer, Project Manager, Field Manager and Superintendent. The Project Coordinator effectively facilitates communication with internal team members, owners, architects, vendors, and subcontractors. Project Coordinators are expected to deliver a high level of customer service to develop a positive relationship with all stakeholders. Project Coordinators must be organized, detail oriented, deadline driven, able to multi-task, and an excellent verbal and written communicator. All roles, regardless of position, are expected to work in accordance with our company core values of teamwork, integrity, excellence, and safety.
Core responsibilities include:
- Project Development
- Preparation of bidders list
- Bid solicitation, follow-up, & management
- Question resolution
- Review all bid documents, including proposals & contracts
- Take-off and preparation of blue sheets
- Coordination & evaluation of bids
- Project Start-Up
- Preparation of buy-out, submittal logs, & change order logs
- Preparation, distribution, and administration of subcontracts and purchase orders
- Coordination of permits
- Collection and administration of submittals and product data
- Collection and administration of vendor preconstruction requirements
- Project Management
- Review and process receipts & invoices
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas & minutes
- Administration of submittal process
- Organization of project documents
- Assist with administration of RFIs and change orders
- Documentation of project correspondence
- Collection and organization of subcontractor lien waivers
- Project Close-Out
- Collection and organization of subcontractor close-out documents
- Administration of punch list
- Collection and organization of final invoices and final lien waivers
Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial construction experience preferred
- Excellent organization and communication
- Positive attitude, team player, and fun to be around
- Enjoys providing organization to the bidding, estimating, development, and construction management process
- Communicates effectively with a team
- Knowledge of construction means, methods, and techniques.
