We are seeking an Assistant General Manager to help lead operations for an exciting new restaurant concept. This is a hands-on leadership role for a dynamic professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at coaching and developing teams, and ensures operational excellence. You will work closely with the General Manager to drive service quality, team performance, and day-to-day restaurant operations, helping shape the culture and success of a brand-new concept.
Assistant General Manager Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in daily restaurant operations and overall team leadership
- Lead and develop front-of-house and back-of-house staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Ensure high-quality guest experiences through consistent service standards
- Monitor labor, inventory, and operational costs to maintain efficiency and profitability
- Oversee compliance with safety, sanitation, and company policies
- Assist with opening new locations, including training teams and implementing systems
- Communicate effectively with all departments to resolve operational challenges
- Maintain accurate reporting and operational records
Assistant General Manager Requirements
- Proven experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar leadership role
- Hands-on leadership in full-service, fast-casual, or high-volume independent restaurants
- Strong team development, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience managing labor, inventory, and operational budgets
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, multi-location, or new-concept restaurant environments
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and high-volume service periods
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
