An experienced counsel-level litigator is sought to join a premier automotive product liability and warranty litigation team. This position offers the opportunity to manage complex, high-value cases across state and federal courts, representing major manufacturers, insurers, and government entities. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer, strategic thinker, and confident advocate who can independently handle all stages of litigation, from discovery through trial.
Senior Counsel Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of complex litigation, from responsive pleadings through trial preparation.
- Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and attend hearings and mediations.
- Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and other key litigation documents.
- Conduct sophisticated legal research and prepare memoranda and case analyses.
- Review, assess, and organize document productions.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for clients.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure timely, efficient case handling.
Senior Counsel Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
- Active member of the California Bar.
- Significant litigation experience, preferably in automotive product liability, aviation, or consumer warranty matters.
- Familiarity with California Lemon Law, including the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
- Proven experience in both State and Federal courts.
- Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to teamwork.
