Executive BBQ Chef – Relocate to Charlotte, NC

If your passion is barbecue, the real kind that is slow-smoked and scratch-made, this is the opportunity to lead a kitchen that treats the craft with respect. This group is food-driven, high-volume, and built on quality, consistency, and hospitality. No shortcuts, no gimmicks, just authentic and expertly executed BBQ.

We are searching for a skilled Executive Chef who can lead a team with confidence, uphold standards, and keep operations running at peak performance in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary $90K–$100K with attainable performance bonus

Executive BBQ Chef Requirements and Must-Haves

  • Minimum 4 years of culinary leadership in a high-volume, scratch-made BBQ or smokehouse environment
  • Proven success managing ordering, labor, scheduling, and kitchen operations
  • Deep understanding of food safety, sanitation, and inspection standards
  • Strong ability to develop and lead teams through communication and accountability
  • Confident working alongside hands-on ownership that values structure and performance

Preferred Background and Skills

  • Experience in multi-unit or structured restaurant groups
  • Mastery of smoking techniques, open-flame cooking, and Southern BBQ traditions
  • Culinary degree or professional culinary training preferred
  • Calm, organized leadership style with integrity and composure under pressure
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety credential
