Field Service Diesel Mechanic – Fort Walton Beach, FL
Compensation: $34–$40/hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday — local routes only (no overnight travel)

Overview
Are you a skilled diesel mechanic who enjoys working independently and making an impact every day?
We’re looking for a Field Service Diesel Mechanic to perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for commercial trucks and fleet vehicles across the Fort Walton Beach, FL area.
You’ll be part of a team that values technician independence, customer service, and safety — all while building a rewarding, long-term career in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and powertrains
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and emissions systems using advanced diagnostic equipment
- Conduct DOT inspections and complete digital service documentation with accuracy
- Manage daily service routes, maintain parts inventory, and communicate repair needs with dispatch or customers
- Deliver exceptional service while representing a professional, customer-focused organization
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Technician / Diesel Mechanic
- Experience with Cummins, Detroit Diesel, CAT, Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, or International equipment preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- ASE certification preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
