Sous Chef Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef with a full-service, fine dining concept
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop their team
  • High sales volume experience of $5+ million
  • Steady tenures with more than 3 jobs in the last 5 years, with steady progression through career
  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, reporting to the Executive Chef
  • Effectively lead a kitchen team of other sous chefs and line cooks. 
  • Planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities 
  • Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests 
  • Maintain food and labor costs to the company standard
  • Ensures the food quality of all products and menu items from purchasing, receiving, storage, preparation, execution, and service
  • New Restaurant Opening experience a plus
  • Sushi experience a definite plus!
