Plant Manager
Location: Rhode Island
Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Plant Manager to provide full operational and P&L leadership for our chemical processing and electroplating facility. You will be responsible for the safety, quality, and profitability of the entire plant, leading a team of 100+ employees across three shifts. This is a high-impact role for a leader who can drive continuous improvement and deliver on key business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead with Safety & Drive Performance: Champion a culture of safety and environmental compliance. Manage the full P&L, controlling costs and optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Develop People & Processes: Provide direct leadership and development to supervisors and a large, multi-shift workforce. Implement Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies to elevate quality, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Engage Customers & Uphold Quality: Serve as a key technical contact for customers, building strong relationships to resolve issues and support business growth. Ensure robust quality systems and accurate process documentation are maintained.
- Enable Strategic Growth: Collaborate with Engineering on new product introductions and capital projects. Act as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience with full P&L, safety, and personnel responsibility.
- Proven experience in a chemical processing environment; electroplating knowledge is highly preferred.
- Demonstrable track record of improving safety, driving cost savings, and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Strong communicator, comfortable engaging with all levels from the production floor to the executive team and key customers.
