This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant to make an impact in a high-visibility Floater role, supporting attorneys throughout the firm wherever coverage, overflow, or additional support is needed.
You’ll work across multiple departments, assist with drafting and filing key legal documents, manage attorney calendars, and ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Legal Assistant – Floater Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Serve as a floating legal assistant supporting multiple practice groups, stepping in for overflow and coverage needs across the firm.
- Draft, revise, and proofread a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, contracts, and filings.
- Manage complex calendars for various attorneys, coordinating deadlines, court dates, meetings, and travel.
- Stay ahead of shifting priorities by monitoring correspondence and ensuring seamless workflow between departments.
- Support time entry, expenses, and billing edits to keep matters running efficiently.
- Act as a professional front-line contact, greeting clients and triaging calls with discretion.
- 8–10 years of litigation experience in a private law firm.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office; familiarity with iManage and Elite is a plus.
- High adaptability, strong organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and a collaborative, client-focused mindset.
- Consistent onsite presence to provide reliable firm-wide support.
