HR Manager Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience, ideally within the restaurant, hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of U.S. federal, state, and city-level employment laws.
- Experience managing HRIS and payroll platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and handle multi-site HR functions.
- Fluent in Mandarin (spoken) – reading/writing is a plus, but not required..
HR Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Lead full-spectrum HR operations for the brand’s U.S. launch and expansion, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and policy development.
- Establish and manage HR processes aligned with U.S. federal/state employment laws and group HR standards.
- Support multi-location restaurant openings by coordinating staffing, training, and performance management.
- Manage HRIS and payroll system setup, integration, and processing.
- Act as a cultural bridge between English- and Mandarin-speaking teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop organizational structure, workforce planning, and talent retention strategies.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and training programs to promote a strong company culture.
