Restaurant Chef – San Diego, CA
Join a prestigious institution as a Restaurant Chef, where you will lead culinary operations and create exceptional dining experiences for students and staff.

Restaurant Chef Requirements & Qualifications:
- Degree in Culinary Arts or a Bachelor's degree in institutional management, nutrition, dietetics, hotel and restaurant management, or a related field
- Serve Safe Certification
- Four (4) years of progressive culinary supervisory experience
- Four (4) years of experience in ordering food and supplies
- Working knowledge of restaurant financial reporting
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Strong leadership and oral/written communication skills
- Experience with computerized menu management systems and knowledge of office and industry software applications
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Proven problem-solving ability
- Commitment to high-quality food procurement, production, and services
Restaurant Chef Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience in a similar role within an educational or institutional setting
- Familiarity with menu development tailored to customer tastes and nutritional needs
- Ability to train, coordinate, and evaluate production staff effectively
- Knowledge of strategic planning for food preparation in non-kitchen venues
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
