Tax Manager – Fully Remote

Tax Manager Benefits & Compensation

Tax Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in public accounting.
- Proven experience in reviewing returns, managing teams, and advising clients.
- CPA or EA license required.
- Experience working remotely or running your own practice.
Tax Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience serving clients in the wellness center, real estate, or professional service industries.
- Familiarity with CCH Axcess, QBO, or Xero. Experience with AI tools such as: Juno, Tally4, StanfordTax, Keeper, etc.
- Background in pricing, billing, and business development strategy.
- Passion for process improvement and systems optimization.
Tax Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a fully remote tax team of 4 staff.
- Review complex business (1065s, 1120s) and individual returns (1040s with passthroughs, investments, etc.).
- Deliver customized tax strategy, planning, and consulting to small business clients.
- Guide the technical development and communication skills of your team.
- Partner with leadership to refine pricing, workflow, and service delivery.
- Help shape the firm’s future as part of its strategic leadership team.
