Tax Manager – Fully Remote

Tax Manager Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of experience in public accounting.
Proven experience in reviewing returns, managing teams, and advising clients.
CPA or EA license required.
Experience working remotely or running your own practice.

Tax Manager Preferred Background & Skills

Experience serving clients in the wellness center, real estate, or professional service industries.
Familiarity with CCH Axcess, QBO, or Xero. Experience with AI tools such as: Juno, Tally4, StanfordTax, Keeper, etc.
Background in pricing, billing, and business development strategy.
Passion for process improvement and systems optimization.

Tax Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a fully remote tax team of 4 staff.
Review complex business (1065s, 1120s) and individual returns (1040s with passthroughs, investments, etc.).
Deliver customized tax strategy, planning, and consulting to small business clients.
Guide the technical development and communication skills of your team.
Partner with leadership to refine pricing, workflow, and service delivery.
Help shape the firm’s future as part of its strategic leadership team.
