We are seeking a talented and experienced Professional Land Surveyor to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary staff, clients, contractors, public agencies, and vendors to deliver high-quality survey services that support a wide range of projects. From construction layouts and boundary determinations to topographic and as-built surveys, you’ll play a critical role in shaping impactful developments across the region.
Professional Land Surveyor Responsibilities:
- Perform boundary, topographic, construction stakeout, and as-built surveys with precision and accuracy.
- Research historical land records, maps, surveys, and title reports to support boundary determinations.
- Complete survey data reductions and mapping in CAD/survey software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Review survey production, field notes, and processed data for quality control and compliance with company standards.
- Conduct ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, pre-engineering surveys, floodplain surveys, and construction staking for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.
- Support business development by preparing survey service proposals and engaging with clients and partners.
Professional Land Surveyor Requirements:
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License (Montana preferred; other states considered).
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant land surveying experience.
- Proficiency with Trimble Survey Instruments, Trimble Access, and Autodesk Civil 3D; familiarity with Trimble Business Center a plus.
- Experience with UAV systems is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to travel throughout Montana and the surrounding region as needed.
- Strong organizational skills, independence, and confidence when engaging with clients, contractors, and colleagues.
