Our client is a fast-growing, virtual-first healthcare platform that combines compounded medications, telehealth, and consumer wellness solutions under one umbrella.

This isn’t a traditional compliance job. We need a unicorn: someone with a pharmacist’s knowledge of compounding regulations and the savvy to partner with a creative marketing team.

If you’re the type of compliance leader who can keep a pharmacy inspection-ready and confidently edit a Facebook ad, influencer script, or product package so it’s compliant without killing the brand voice — this is your role.

You’ll report directly to the CEO and shape how compliance enables growth, marketing creativity, and patient trust.

Director of Marketing & Compounding Compliance Benefits and Compensation

  • Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience)
  • Remote-first role, open to U.S.-based candidates
  • Work directly with executive leadership and marketing leaders on high-impact projects
  • Build compliance systems that scale nationally in one of healthcare’s fastest-growing segments

Director of Marketing & Compounding Compliance Requirements & Qualifications

  • PharmD strongly preferred; active pharmacist license required (multi-state is a plus)
  • 3–5+ years in pharmacy compliance or regulatory affairs, ideally in compounding or DTC healthcare
  • Direct experience reviewing promotional/marketing content (ads, social, email, video, packaging, influencer campaigns)
  • Strong working knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, FDA/FTC promotional guidance, HIPAA, DEA, and Board of Pharmacy standards
  • Ability to design and manage scalable compliance workflows (e.g., intake → review → approval)

Director of Marketing & Compounding Compliance Must Haves

  • Act as the final reviewer for all promotional content (ads, influencer scripts, packaging, press releases, web copy, social campaigns)
  • Translate complex regulations into clear, actionable marketing edits that keep the voice consumer-friendly but compliant
  • Build and maintain a centralized compliance hub/system (potentially AI-enabled) for fast intake, review, and approval of creative assets
  • Track state licensure and Board of Pharmacy requirements, flagging issues proactively and coordinating with operations to prevent service disruptions
  • Stay ahead of enforcement trends (GLP-1s, supplements, telehealth advertising) and guide leadership on risks and opportunities

Director of Marketing & Compounding Compliance Preferred Background & Skills

  • Prior experience in a compounding/DTC environment (Hims, Hers, Ro, AgelessRx, LifeMD, TruePill, Alto, Capsule, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of packaging compliance (lot numbers, expiration dates, labeling rules)
  • Experience balancing compliance with marketing teams (fast-moving, informal, creative-heavy environments)
  • Familiarity with AI tools or tech platforms for compliance review and automation

This is not just a regulatory role. It’s a chance to shape the systems and guardrails that let creativity thrive while protecting patients, the brand, and the business.
