Resident Hotel General Manager
Location: On-site | Includes Free Housing + Utilities + Bonus
We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Resident General Manager to lead daily operations at our residential hotel property. This full-time, live-in position includes a deluxe two-bedroom suite with all housing expenses paid, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, guest-focused, extended-stay environment.
The ideal candidate is an independent, people-first leader who sets the tone for a respectful, service-oriented culture and takes full ownership of the hotel’s performance and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Financial Management
- Oversee all day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring efficiency and service excellence.
- Participate in budget development and manage labor and operating costs based on forecasted demand.
- Collaborate with corporate teams to support sales and revenue strategies, including competitor rate analysis and local market insights.
- Train front desk staff in sales techniques and current promotions to drive bookings.
- Monitor controllable expenses and adjust spending to achieve monthly budget goals.
Guest & Employee Satisfaction
- Personally address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly to ensure positive experiences.
- Maintain and improve guest satisfaction scores (e.g., Medallia surveys), taking corrective actions as needed.
- Foster a supportive team environment and administer HR policies, payroll, and fair employee practices.
- Support employee engagement and retention through leadership, communication, and professional conduct.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel management or extended-stay operations preferred.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while following company policies and standards.
- Passion for hospitality and engaging with guests on a personal level.
Compensation & Benefits
- Total Compensation Package: $86,000 annually
- Base Salary: $44,000
- Free Housing (Deluxe 2-Bedroom Suite + Utilities + Internet): $30,000 value
- Performance Bonus: Up to $12,000 annually
