Luxury Resort Director of Food and Beverage

We are now interviewing for a once-in-a-lifetime role as the Director of Food and Beverage for a luxury resort in Hawaii.

• Responsible for short and long-term planning and the management of the Food and Beverage operations in the front and back of the house with a management team of 25
• Develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans, and objectives and manage within those approved plans.
• Participate in the Hotel Leadership Committee
• Direct and oversee the development of colleagues
• Direct the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory, and budget for F&B operations
• Exercise quality control for both food and beverage
• Key liaison with Chef partner and third-party restaurant vendors
• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service, and ability to improve the bottom line

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a senior-level F&B management role, with at least 3 years as a Director required
• Experience at a hotel managing multiple food and beverage outlets, including banquets, required
• Upscale restaurant management experience is preferred
• Union experience is a plus
• Experience with building teams from hourly positions through all levels of leadership positions
• Strong financial acumen
• Service-oriented style with professional presentations skills
• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concepts, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service, and ability to improve the bottom line
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
