We are looking for a Tax Accountant responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, managing tax audits, and providing tax compliance support. They will also work closely with cross-functional teams to identify tax planning opportunities and provide strategic tax advice to the senior management team.

 

Tax Accountant Responsibilities:

-Preparation of Federal, state and local income returns, payments and extensions.

-Prepare federal, state and local tax returns for individuals, exempt organizations, partnerships and LLCs, S corporations, C corporations, and trusts.

-Prepared the tax provision, tax footnote and analysis of the general ledger tax accounts.

-Support and maintain the filling of Sales/Use tax returns for various states.

 

Tax Accountant Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and CPA license

-6 or more years' relevant experience in tax accounting, preferably with a petroleum or energy company.

-Excellent knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local tax codes.

-Experience with tax compliance, tax planning, and tax accounting.

-Knowledge of the petroleum industry and its various taxes.

-Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
