Our client, a high-end luxury steak house and sushi lounge is looking for a dynamic General Manager. We offer an upscale experience with fine dining service, craft cocktails, and an amazing escape! Do you have what it takes, we want to meet YOU!!
General Manager Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operating the lounge and restaurant efficiently within pre-established cost controls
- Accountable for maintaining the department in accordance with Health Department standards
- Manage all business aspects of the lounge; keeping liquor licenses and certifications current, negotiating supplier contracts, cycle counting inventory and reordering, managing budgets, and monitoring lounge margins and profitability
- Hiring and training staff to provide excellent service to members
- Scheduling staff, resolving scheduling conflicts, and ensuring the lounge and restaurant are staffed appropriately during peak hours
- Develop, oversee, and manage daily operations of the bar and beverage program and keep up with trends
- Responsible for the highest standards in guest service
- Collaborate with the culinary lead and work closely with the owners
General Manager Requirements:
- 4+ years in a restaurant management role for a full-service restaurant, high-end bar/lounge
- 1-2 years experience with bar programs, bar focus, and/or specialty
- Strong knowledge base in spirits, liquors, and craft cocktails
- Strong leadership skills and a high level of professionalism
- Experience with new restaurant or concept openings is ideal
