Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of an Auto Shredder Residue (ASR) plant in the scrap metal industry. This role involves managing production efficiency, maximizing metal recovery, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily ASR processing and maximize metal recovery rates.
- Lead and train a team of operators and technicians.
- Monitor equipment performance and adjust processes for efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Manage budgets, track production data, and drive process improvements.
- Oversee maintenance schedules and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Qualifications:
5+ years of operations management experience in the scrap or recycling industry.
Strong knowledge of ASR processing and metal recovery systems.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Familiarity with heavy equipment and safety regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs and work around heavy machinery.
- Stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.
- Work in varying weather and noise conditions.
