We are seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of trailers, including dry van, reefer, flatbed, etc. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trailers to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair brake systems, suspension components, electrical wiring, lighting, and air systems.
  • Weld and fabricate metal components as needed for structural repairs.
  • Replace or repair tires, landing gear, and other trailer components.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and ensure trailer safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Follow company safety policies and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a trailer mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical, hydraulic, and braking systems.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance.
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).
